Whether it be to help a friend out or add another title to their résumé, stars across Hollywood have gone through the process of becoming ordained ministers.
In 2013, Benedict Cumberbatch officiated a wedding in Ibiza days after learning of his 2013 Emmy nomination for Parade's End, while Adele revealed in 2018 that she officiated her best friend's wedding earlier that year.

In July 2013, the actor served as the officiant for the wedding of two male friends in Ibiza.
The ceremony took place days after Cumberbatch learned that he had been nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for his work on Parade's End.
