Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz has declared that he has "unfinished business" in NASCAR after achieving a major career feat by winning the GT4 America championship. Muniz, 40, has long sought a full-time career in NASCAR, and achieved that in the Truck Series this season, driving the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing.
However, he hasn't managed to move toward a full-time gig at O'Reilly Auto Parts or in the premier Cup Series. Muniz is yet to score a win in one of NASCAR's three national series and hasn't finished inside the top-10 in 2026.
Still, the fire in his belly burns for success in NASCAR, which Muniz made clear after winning the GT4 America championship with co-driver Tyler Stone. Muniz had to skip several NASCAR Truck races to make his run to the GT4 America Championship possible.

"I've been in NASCAR and I love it, and I have still a lot of unfinished business there," Muniz said.
He's grateful for the opportunity that brought motorsport gold. Going into the experience, Muniz had never raced sports cars.

"I mean, going into this, I've never raced sports cars," said Muniz. "My first time ever in a GT4 car was for the first practice session at Sonoma.
"You know, I thank Ford Racing for pushing me in this direction. It was so incredible. I mean, I feel like halfway through the year, we really figured everything out and we won a few races and put ourselves in the position to win the championship.
"With yesterday, we had a great race. We finished second, had the lead in the points, but we had a kind of a bad break with the start.
"We had to start 10th today in class, so I didn't really know what was going to happen, but he [Stone] drove incredibly, handed me the car off, we had a clean pit stop, and now we are the champs. And this is the best feeling in the entire world for sure."
Muniz also delivered an emotional message to racing driver hopefuls hoping to make a Big Breakthrough. "I mean, definitely go for it. I know sometimes you have to take a leap and it's scary," he said.
"You can't be afraid to fail. I mean, I feel like I failed. I mean, not failed, but it was a working process for 20 years, but it took me 20 years to feel this feeling of winning and being champions. And thanks to Tyler and Texport Racing, Ford Racing. I love this so much. Thank you so much."
