Hilary Swank has shared a positive message of encouragement to her fans after announcing she is pregnant with her third child at the age of 52.
The Million Dollar Baby star shared the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, October 14, posting a video of her and her family dancing in glow-in-the-dark stick-figure costumes to the song You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet by Bachman-Turner Overdrive. In the clip, one of the figures turns around, revealing a baby-sized figure in their belly.
The new baby, who is due to arrive in December, is Hilary's third child with her husband, Philip Schneider, after the couple welcomed their twins Aya and Ohm in April 2023. "A lot of people have been asking what project I'm doing next, this one releases in December," Hilary captioned her pregnancy announcement this week.

Many fans congratulated Hilary and Philip in the comment section of the actress' post, with a woman saying the announcement has given her hope that she might also be able to become a mom. "At 39 im still single and childless," the fan commented. "You are literally giving me hope that the life I want could still happen for me. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family."
Hilary replied to the fan's comment, with a positive five-word message, "Things happen in their time." In her response, the actress wrote, "Thank you! It can! I always go by the adage, things happen in their time, not ours, and that has always been the case for me."
She added, "But of course trusting that, for me, has always been the hardest part. Wishing you unwavering trust and abundant beauty on your journey."

Another fan said, "I think this is the world's best pregnancy announcement ever! So clever and colorful! Your babies are getting so big already!" A third wrote, "Congratulations!!!! You are an inspiration to all women who want to have children later in life!"
Someone else added, "Congratulations!! I wish you all the love and happiness your heart can hold!!" One more shared, "That's sooooooo cute and funny!" A fan posted, "Congratulations!! My mom had me when she was 41 and of her three pregnancies she said it was the easiest. Wishing you all the best!"
Last year, Hilary spoke about her fertility journey in an interview with Women's Health magazine, explaining that she froze her eggs when she was 37, before becoming pregnant with her twins at the age of 47 and welcoming them at 48. "I would have had kids earlier," she told the publication.

"I'm not saying I actively waited until 47. But that was a magical time in my life, when it all culminated. It was the right time for myriad reasons." Hilary explained that waiting to become a mother later in life allowed her to change and grow, changing her approach to motherhood.
She said, "I'm a very different parent than I would've been, even in my early 40s. I'm much more patient. I'm much more understanding. I am much more, I think, interested in a different way than I would've been.
"I'm really interested in their brains. I am fascinated about what makes them tick. And I have my career that's already established, so I'm not divided. I'm able to really sink in and be present with them and be a hands-on parent."
Hilary and Philip met on a blind date organized by mutual friends in 2015. After dating for roughly a year and a half, Philip proposed during a private outdoor trip to Colorado, with Hilary's dogs present.
The pair tied the knot in a private, nature-focused outdoor ceremony surrounded by redwood trees at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California, in 2018. Philip husband is a social venture entrepreneur who generally maintains a low public profile outside of his relationship with the two-time Academy Award-winning actress.
Just one week before yesterday's pregnancy announcement, Hilary shared a snap of herself from when she was pregnant with Aya and Ohm to celebrate the passage of AB 1901, a new California law requiring diaper manufacturers to disclose all ingredients in their products.
