Over the weekend, the mom of five, 48, shared a hilarious video with two of her friends showing what it really looks like to chaperone a school dance.
Gaines and her friends danced outside while songs like Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” could be heard coming from inside the dance.
“Moms at the school dance be like... #chaperones,” she captioned the silly video.
Joanna and her husband Chip Gaines share five children together: Crew, 8, Emmie, 16, Duke, 18, Ella, 19, and Drake, 21.
Earlier this month, the HGTV host shared a short clip of her son Duke during his senior year homecoming game. In the clip, the teen could be seen walking on the football field in his team uniform as country music played in the background.

Back in August, the family of seven headed to Colorado to enjoy some family time in the great outdoors, as seen in a sweet video shared on Instagram.
“A few days in the mountains with the whole fam, makes this mama’s heart so happy,” read Joanna’s caption. “Fishing, chopping down dead trees, making forts for the 🐿️ , crunchy french toast, rodeo, bikes, and family hikes. ❤️.”

Set to the tune of “The Mountains are Calling” by Citizen Wild, Joanna’s reel featured footage of her family enjoying a trip against panoramic mountain scenery.
Viewers could catch glimpses of Joanna helping her youngest son Crew build a fort out of logs and branches, daughters Ella and Emmie balancing as they walked across stones in a river, and the entire family walking along a sunlit path through the hills.
