Mississippi State could be down its star QB when the Bulldogs travel to face LSU football on Saturday. Here's the latest.

Mississippi State could be without star quarterback Kamario Taylor when the Bulldogs faced LSU football on Saturday. ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that, "Kamario Taylor’s status for the game at LSU on Saturday is in flux. A decision on whether he’ll play will be made later in the week. He’s dealing with a foot injury from earlier this year that clearly impacted him against Alabama on Oct. 3."

If Taylor can't go for Mississippi State, it's a significant blow to MSU's hopes in Baton Rouge. Taylor is a superstar at the position and was drawing Heisman buzz ahead of Mississippi State's game vs. Alabama. The Alabama game didn't go the way Mississippi State hoped, and Taylor's injury likely played a role in that.

Taylor is dynamic. The arm talent is elite, and he's a high-class athlete, too. He can hurt defenses through the air and on the ground.

Through five games, Taylor has thrown for 1,450 yards and 17 touchdowns. Taylor leads the SEC in passing touchdowns and passing yards per game. He's averaging 31.8 rushing yards per game, too.
