Six months after officially parting ways, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are giving each other shoutouts on each other's special days.

Urban wished the 'Lion 'actress a happy 59th birthday on June 20, marking one of the pair's first public exchanges since finalizing their divorce in January. He posted a short message on Instagram Stories that read "happy birthday nicole mary!!!!!!!!!!!!" set against a purple and teal background.

Kidman responded the next day with a Father's Day tribute that included Urban on her Instagram Story.

She posted two black-and-white throwback photos on her Instagram Story. One featured Urban carrying their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, on his back when they were younger. The other showed Kidman with her late father, Antony Kidman, who passed away in 2014.

The actress captioned the post simply, "Happy Father's Day to all the fathers."

The exchange landed against a backdrop of reported strain between Urban and his daughters. Multiple outlets, citing a Daily Mailreport, claimed that Sunday and Faith had sided with their mother after the split and viewed Urban as responsible for the marriage ending.

A source close to the singer told the outlet, "They're icing him out. He feels disrespected and cast aside by his own daughters."

Another source described the girls as "completely Team Nicole" and said Urban was struggling with the distance in his relationship with them.
