After tying the knot in September 2023 on the inaugural season of Love Is Blind: UK, the across-the-pond spinoff’s golden couple has called it quits.

On October 12, Nicole Grunewald (née Sterling) announced that she and her husband, Benaiah, have officially separated. In a short Instagram Story, she asked for privacy and revealed that she felt “devastated” that they had reached the point of no return after just three years together.

One of the longest-lasting UK couples, Nicole and Benaiah’s relationship was seen as a major success story for the spinoff, which recently debuted its third season. Are Love Is Blind: UK‘s Nicole and Benaiah still together?

As of October 2026, Nicole and Benaiah have called it quits. In August, the couple turned heads when they did not appear at the Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 launch party. Love Is Blind: UK casting on social media posted a carousel of returning couples and stars, writing, “Love Is Blind UK family came out looking gorgeous at Season 3 Premiere,” with the fan-favorite couple nowhere to be seen.

In 2025, the couple promoted future seasons of Love Is Blind: UK on the casting page, where Benaiah shared, “We’re honestly so grateful for the whole Love Is Blind experience and the casting team.” Nicole added, “We’ve been married for 18 months, and we couldn’t be happier.”

Why did Nicole and Benaiah break up?

After over three years of marriage, Nicole announced on Instagram that they have separated. Right now, neither Nicole nor Benaiah have revealed why they’ve split. However, announcing the breakup, Nicole wrote, “When I said ‘I do,’ I never imagined I would one day be sharing this. For those who have followed and supported our journey, I wanted to let you know that Ben and I have separated. I feel devastated that we’ve reached this point.”

She added, “For now, my focus is on moving forward, and I’d appreciate privacy and understanding as I navigate what comes next. Thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years. I’m so grateful, and I don’t take it for granted.”

What has Benaiah said about the split?

As of posting, Benaiah has yet to publicly comment on their split. His most recent social media post was shared in September, when he introduced his followers to his new puppy, indicating that he may have shared the dog with Nicole, despite the fact that she was not in any of his pictures. He shared, “Please welcome the newest member of the family! 16 week old cocker spaniel – currently taking name suggestions!”
