It wouldn't be a Presidents Cup without Adam Scott.
The 46-year-old Aussie made the International Team for a record 12th time for the International Team, which ties the record for most in event history with Phil Mickelson. Of those appearances, the 46-year-old was an automatic qualifier for 11 out of 12, with the exception of 2009, when at TPC Harding Park he was selected as a captain’s pick by Greg Norman, while Mickelson was a captain’s pick in three of his 12 appearances (1994, 2015, 2017).
International Team Captain Geoff Ogilvy, an eight-time PGA Tour winner and 2006 U.S. Open champ, wouldn't have it any other way. Scott and Ogilvy, a fellow Aussie, go way back.
"I've reached this weird point in my career where I get a lot of these unique experiences. But playing under Geoff is something I never really thought about it," Scott tells Golfweek. "We were playing together for so many years and practice round partners. But I think it is a really cool thing and he knows he has my 100 percent support and hopefully I can provide a bunch of points."
