Meghan Markle's recent media campaign demonstrates that she is "back and means business," a royal commentator has suggested, cautioning that the Royal Family should carefully consider their response. The Duchess of Sussex made a surprising return to the UK in August, marking a dramatic reversal six years after departing for a new chapter in the US alongside Prince Harry.
Following her arrival, the duchess maintained a discreet presence, avoiding any public engagements. However, last week saw Meghan capture widespread media attention for several developments.
Prince Harry's wife was initially photographed during an outing at London's prestigious Claridge's Hotel in Mayfair alongside Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. The duchess was photographed leaving the upscale London venue with her longtime friend. This comes after Harry and Meghan's 'intentional' first UK outing 'sends message' to Royals.

Days later, Meghan once again commanded media coverage when she released fresh footage showing her and Prince Harry's two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, taking a stroll through the English countryside.
She subsequently took to Instagram to commemorate the International Day of the Girl and unveiled a new limited-edition sweater that sold out within 2 hours.

Former MP and columnist Nadine Dorries has now suggested that Meghan "knows how to snatch the spotlight" and argued that Princess Catherine must elevate her efforts to prevail in this "media war."
Writing for the Daily Mail, she stated, "Love her or loathe her, Meghan knows how to snatch the spotlight. The past week has been marked by a renewed media blitz from the Duchess, and all eyes are on her again. Which is exactly how she wants it to be."

The commentator observed that Meghan's visibility started to monopolize media attention during the week and reached its height following a recent appearance by the Princess of Wales.
She said, "Was the timing a coincidence? In my opinion, it wasn't. Meghan knows exactly how to divert attention her way."

Ms Dorries further stated that although Catherine has endured "the mother of all health battles" following her cancer diagnosis in 2024, her current public image "needs a glow-up" and that her "old sparkle wouldn't go amiss".
This development comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare to attend a youth and community charity event, marking their first joint public appearance since their return to the UK.
The Community Recording Studio (CRS) located in St Ann's, Nottingham, was initially established to provide young people with access to music and recording equipment and has since expanded to offer them various creative pursuits, along with sports, mentoring, and youth enrichment programs.
Harry and Meghan are anticipated to tour CRS on Thursday. They will receive a direct overview of the organization, which works to help young people experiencing poverty, instability, exploitation, or violence build self-assurance and acquire practical skills.
Nottingham holds significance as the site of Harry and Meghan's inaugural joint public outing following their engagement announcement in 2017.
