Sandra Bullock shouted out her movie daughter Maisie Williams for recreating her red carpet looks amid the Practical Magic 2 press tour

“You can raid Mama’s closet anytime ♥️,” Bullock wrote on Instagram

Bullock reprises her role as Sally Owens in the sequel, while Williams plays her daughter, Antonia

Sandra Bullock is proud that her movie daughter Maisie Williams is following in her fashion footsteps.

The actress, 62, gave Williams, 29, a sweet shoutout via Instagram amid the press tour for Practical Magic 2, during which Williams has recreated a handful of Bullock’s vintage looks from the ‘90s and early 2000s.

In a post shared on Friday, Aug. 28, Bullock shared side-by-side snaps of Williams’ recreations as well as a sweet video of her hyping up the Game of Thrones alum from the sidelines as she poses on the red carpet.

“My Antonia girl, you can raid Mama’s closet anytime ♥️,” the Oscar winner wrote in the caption. She also called out Williams’ stylist, Dino Bonačić, adding, “@dinobonacic you did a beautiful job bringing all of these looks back to life.”

Williams’ latest homage to Bullock came at the Thursday, Aug. 27, photo call for Practical Magic 2 in London. The actress, who plays Bullock’s onscreen daughter in the sequel, hit the red carpet in a black off-the-shoulder dress that Bullock wore to the 2006 premiere of her movie Infamous.

Williams added a broach and some necklaces to the draped gown.

For the film’s first premiere on Wednesday, Aug. 26, in London, Williams appeared in a custom burgundy dress by British designer Ellie Misner that bore a resemblance to the two-piece ensemble Bullock wore to the 1999 premiere of Forces of Nature.

Similar to Bullock’s vintage outfit, which included a T-shirt and skirt, Williams’ bespoke dress was created with a boat neckline and floor-length skirt with a train. She also wore a ring and choker necklace adorned with a ruby-like stone.

Williams also took inspiration from a lace-trimmed dress Bullock wears in the original Practical Magic film, wearing a similar style in black with a plunging neckline.

A month before the premiere, Williams and costar Joey King appeared at Teen Vogue Fest on July 25, where they teased their sartorial throwbacks on a panel hosted by Chloe Malle.

“We’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from the late ‘90s and Sandra and Nicole’s red carpet looks,” shared Williams.

The pair also discussed what fans can expect from the sequel’s costumes. “It’s heavily influenced by ‘90s fashion,” said King, who plays Kylie. “There are a lot of custom pieces in this movie that are just so amazing. There’s a lot of lace, a lot of ethereal, whimsical colors.”

Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reprising their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens, respectively, in the highly anticipated sequel to Practical Magic.

Based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 novel of the same name, the 1998 film follows the Owens sisters, a pair of witches descended from a fictional survivor of the Salem Witch Trials who are fighting off a curse that kills the men they fall in love with, while learning to accept the most magical parts of themselves and chart their own paths.
