Truth behind Karoline Leavitt's 'secret talks' to join hit TV show

Karoline Leavitt is no longer White House Press Secretary, and people are wondering what's next for her.
The 29-year-old announced earlier this month that she will be leaving her position in Donald Trump's administration to spend more time with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 61, and their two young children, Niko and Vivi. Her last day was Thursday, August 27, but no replacement has been announced yet.
While many have been speculating about her replacement, others have been speculating about where Karoline's career will take her next. Most recently, it's been reported that she has been in "secret talks" with The View, a daytime talk show on ABC, where she's previously made appearances.

However, the former press secretary's career with The View might not be in her future. A source at ABC told Brian Stelter, a CNN media reporter, that Karoline "would not be a guest host" or join the show "in a more official capacity."
It was previously reported by the Daily Mail that she was in serious talks for a permanent role alongside co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Karoline's former boss, Donald Trump, might be celebrating that Karoline isn't becoming a staple on the daytime talk show.

The current president called Sunny "dumber than Kamala [Harris]" and declared, "That is one dumb woman. She's a fool."
Some of the co-hosts are not fans of Trump either. Whoopi refuses to call him anything but "you know who," and while Ana and Alyssa are republicans and defend him sometimes, they still point out his faults. The show co-hosts also didn't hold back when talking about Karoline.
Whoopi previously criticized Leavitt over comments about "wokeness" in the media, saying they "really p---ed me off," while Joy questioned how Karoline obtained her White House role.
"I think that she's probably been put in there because, according to Donald Trump, she's a 10," Joy said.

Karoline shared the news of her departure on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime," she wrote.
"I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities, such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life.
"Most of all, I am thankful to the President for entrusting me with the distinct privilege of speaking on his behalf at the White House podium. I have spoken with great pride about the many historic accomplishments of this Administration, and I have relished holding the liberal media accountable and ensuring the American people hear the truth about President Trump’s successes."
