Hailey Glassman is gearing up to put her life on display in The Real Housewives of New York City.

The publicist was announced as one of three new cast members joining RHONY for season 16. Glassman will join fellow newcomers celebrity fitness trainer Erika Hammond and celebrity makeup artist Daisy Toye, as well as returning cast members Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and Sai De Silva.

Glassman is a public relations professional who also works with her dad, plastic surgeon Dr. Lawrence Glassman. Prior to her time on the Bravo show, Glassman was known for dating former reality show star Jon Gosselin shortly after his separation from Kate Gosselin.

In addition to her past dating history, Glassman also made headlines after her casting was announced when influencer and podcaster Claudia Oshry posted screenshots of her DMs that showed apparent messages from Glassman negatively commenting on her appearance.

Glassman is a publicist who created the agency, Hailey Glassman PR.

"As a public relations professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry, I’ve had the pleasure of working with leading clients in the restaurant, medical and entertainment industries," she wrote on her website.

Some of her past clients have included car dealerships, private clubs and medical companies. She also represents her dad, plastic surgeon Dr. Lawrence Glassman, and his company, Glassman Plastic Surgery.

Glassman was introduced to the Gosselins in the mid-2000s when her dad performed a tummy tuck on Kate Gosselin, as Kate later confirmed in a video. Jon and Kate later announced in 2009 that they were getting a divorce.

That same year, Jon began dating Glassman after he temporarily moved to her parents' place in N.Y.C. in May 2009. At the time, she was 22 years old, and he was 32.

“If you had told me a few months ago, I wouldn’t have believed you," Glassman told PEOPLE in July 2009. "He was so strong. I admired him.”

Despite the breakup and new relationship occurring back-to-back, Glassman insisted in an E! News interview, per TV Guide, that Jon and Kate had been separated for "months" before she and him were romantically involved.

"I'm not some fame wh---," she added. "I want people to know the truth. Right now I'm speaking from my heart, myself. I'm not some celebrity, I'm not some famous person — I'm just a 22-year-old girl who got caught in the middle of all this."

Glassman and Jon broke up by the end of 2009. The following year, she appeared on the dating show Sweet Home Alabama where she said that she was trying to repair the "false image" of herself.

“I was never a homewrecker," she insisted, per the New York Post. "Everything that the media has portrayed me as is false, from the littlest to the biggest things. I’ve been constantly judged in rag mags and tabloids. I’m a very kind, sweet, nice girl."

On March 2, Bravo announced the season 16 cast of The Real Housewives of New York City, which included Glassman as a newbie. She is joined by fellow freshmen Hammond and Toye, as well as returning stars Lichy, Taank and De Silva.

"We’ll be there in a New York minute🍎 Meet the official cast of #RHONY Season 16! Start spreading the news...cameras begin rolling THIS WEEK‼️," Bravo captioned its Instagram announcement.

In addition to the six full-time stars, the season will also feature the return of Carole Radziwill — eight years after she last appeared in season 10.

The cast shakeup took place after Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen confirmed that they were interviewing new women. Season 15 starred Lichy, Taank, De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield and Racquel Chevremont, with Rebecca Minkoff as a friend.

She's been called out by influencer Claudia Oshry for "trolling"

Shortly after Glassman was announced as a new cast member, she made headlines for alleged past messages to influencer and podcaster Oshry. The Toast host, who also goes by @GirlWithNoJob, posted a TikTok with screenshots that showed messages apparently from Glassman commenting on her weight since 2017.

Oshry called Glassman a "deep internet troll," while reading the alleged messages. One of the notes, allegedly sent from December 2017, read "Omg your voice is so annoying. Like Janice from Friends." Another message Oshry included was one Glassman allegedly sent on Dec. 3, 2020, that read, "Damn you were thin!"

Oshry claimed that Glassman was "obsessed with my weight" and frequently responded to her Instagram Stories to comment on her physical appearance. Oshry confirmed in August 2023 that she had been taking Ozempic to lose weight.

One apparent message from July 1, 2023, read, "Looks great but you gotta own you’re on wegovy. You’re an influencer and you really should be honest on your platform about it. When you need any skin tightening since you def lost enough to need it, I’ll set you up with great plastic surgeon in NYC."

However, Oshry also joked that Glassman might be a "huge fan," because she also sent her apparent messages congratulating her on her pregnancy and for "shrinking."

After Oshry's video picked up steam, Glassman's representative told the Daily Mail, "Hailey’s responses were in no way 'trolling,' she was simply engaging with Claudia’s provocative content."

The rep continued, "Ms. Glassman is in support of all people. She has expressed women are beautiful, every shape, every size. They’re all sexy but she says the sexiest of all is authenticity and respect to all groups of people. With that said Hailey stands by her comment regarding her distaste for Claudia’s voice."
